Introduction to Me

            Hello, my name is Andrew Othmer and I am a dedicated learner who strives himself in punctuation while bringing and infectious attitude that lifts morale of a team that is dedicated to providing quality results. Throughout my life and job experiences I have always been committed to learning all aspects of a business to master my craft so that I can share these skills with newer team members to ensure we all win together as a team.  Since the age of 15 I have been working to build my skills in leadership, problem solving and guest service so that no matter workplace I join into I can bring vital attributes to the table.

           I have recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies from The University of Central Florida where my main educational focus was on Physics and engineering courses. I am currently in my second year working as a General Merchandise Team Lead at a high volume Super Target Store in the Waterford Lakes area. With this employment opportunity I have been able to grow my leadership skills by strategizing a restricted number of employees to complete a multitude of tasks in the ever-changing atmosphere of a retail super store. I would like to utilize the skills I have gathered at Target to forward my career into a project management position at world renowned theme parks where I can provide park guests with a safe, efficient, and enjoyable park experience. I would find accomplishment in moving my company forward by implementing innovative procedures that can increase efficiency and decrease attraction downtime. 

         

        While growing up I was always fascinated with the technology that surrounds us and pushed myself to understand how it worked and who were the people behind it, in doing this I discovered Engineers. Once I discovered engineering and started to research the field, I began to see the reality behind the magic that engineers created and wanted to be a part of this innovation to move the world forward.. While working entry level jobs in food service and retail I began to understand the importance of efficiency and the overall guest experience to a properly run businesses. By working towards understanding the core values of these businesses I was able to provide a great work environment for team members where they could learn and become stronger employees while providing a clean, safe and exceptional experience for guests.
